SPHS Project Update

During the week of 5/21 -5/25 there will be some work going on inside the existing building and outside the building along the Highland Ave. side of the building. Griffin Electric will be working around the café and kitchen schedules to open up a route above ceiling for the temperature and electrical feed needed to keep the fire suppression pump up and running. This will occur Monday and Tuesday.

Tuesday morning Grondin, the Site Contractor will be removing trees and stumps where the new primary power feed will located between Highland Ave. and a transformer that will be located to the left of the Auditorium entrance. They will be removing a small section of the walk, to allow the new feeders to extend into the café space and excavating for the transformer pad which would be placed Wednesday morning. They will barricade the work space and trench so as to maintain egress and entry through the doors. Routine use will be restricted while work is being done. This work should be completed by Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. That area will be cleaned up after the Power Company sets their new pole.

The last activity will take place in the café. On Tuesday PC Construction will install a temporary wall to isolate the new electrical penetrations and disconnects from the students for safety purposes. Planning has been done to minimize the disruption when this work is being done.
